The EMT program is designed to teach students the skills needed to enter the prehospital profession and serve their local communities. The students will learn the skills needed to stabilize patients having a medical emergency and help transport them to definitive care. With our extensive curriculum that covers over 194 hours of didactic and psychomotor skills, you will be ready to become part of the next generation of Emergency Medical Technicians. Our program also includes hands on clinical rotations to further develop the skills learned in the classroom.

The EMT student will learn many lifesaving skills, such as:

Livingston County EMS is approved by the State of Michigan Bureau of Emergency Preparedness, EMS, and Systems of Care to offer a state approved EMS program.
