Lemoore College’s EMT 050: Emergency Medical Technician-Basic course prepares students for certification as Nationally Registered EMT-Basic. It prepares the student for certification as a Nationally Registered EMT and subsequent state certification.

Instruction includes topics pertaining to emergency medical care in the pre-hospital setting. Satisfactory completion of this course and certification exam will allow the student to work on an ambulance, fire apparatus, or in a hospital emergency department.

Course requires 10 hours of supervised instruction in an emergency room, and 6 hours of supervised observation on an operational emergency ambulance.
