American Training Institute

American Training Institute (ATI) is a veteran-owned medical education center that strives to ensure elite training and education for Michigan’s healthcare workers.
Davenport University and ATI have partnered together to form a consortium for paramedic education, allowing ATI to offer paramedic education courses on non-traditional campuses, as well as meet the accreditation standards for sponsorship. In addition to this allowance, the agreement between Davenport University and American Training Institute permits an ATI Paramedic graduate to receive advanced standing credits to apply toward a Davenport University Bachelor Degree Program, should the graduate meet all requirements.
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program is designed to prepare students to provide basic life support (BLS) to sick and injured patients. EMT is the minimum level of licensure one must obtain in the State of Michigan to work on an ambulance providing medical care. Our courses exceed the US-DOT’s National Standard Curriculum and are approved by the MDHHS.
