North Country Career Center

Becoming an EMT is a great step in starting a career in Emergency Services. Our program is designed to prepare eligible candidates for certification by the National Registry of EMTs.
This course is designed to teach students with the skills necessary to provide emergency medical care at a basic life support level, and prepare them for certification by the National Registry of EMTs.
Classes are held at the North Country Career Center and may include visits to local ambulance bays. Beside time spent in the classroom, all students are expected to be logging ride time with a local ambulance agency that has agreed to support student learning.
The tuition for this class is $1,400, which includes the required textbook. Many of our students qualify for the VSAC Advancement Grant (vsac.org), which can cover the complete cost of tuition in the event of a full grant award. If you will be paying for this course yourself, please ask about our tuition assistance, which is not dependent on income or assets.
