Community Safety Consultants

CSC EMT Program

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT’s) are specially trained to treat people who are ill or injured, then transport them to the hospital. EMT certification is required to work at any level in the pre-hospital environment.
The EMT Program through Community Safety Consultants is an intensive course that will prepare you for pre-hospital care of the sick and injured. Over the 120 hours of skill instruction and scenarios, you will learn to assess and treat conditions like fractures, strokes, chest pain and critical trauma, cardiac arrest, and childbirth.
We offer a hybrid program where you complete all reading and lectures online, and at home. The hybrid portion of our course is best done on a laptop or tablet. You will need reliable internet access. Online reading and lectures is mandatory for ongoing testing, and for course completion. Our in-person sessions will focus on hands on skills and simulations with clinical time performed in the hospital. Attendance at all skill sessions is mandatory; absences from the program are not permitted. This is a fast paced program, and will require significant time, study, and attention. A valid BLS CPR card is required for class. If you need CPR certification, please see the links on the left for our course schedule. Upon completion of the course, testing, and clinical time, you will be eligible to sit for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exam for state licensure.
We are looking forward to working with you on a long career in pre-hospital care. “
